The film follows Dr. Henry Sinclair (played by Treat Williams), a geologist who has spent his entire career searching for a way to reach the center of the Earth. Alongside his granddaughter, Jessie (played by Mae Whitman), and a Icelandic guide, Arne (played by Michael Biehn), they embark on a journey through a volcanic tunnel in Iceland that leads them to the Earth's core. As they navigate through treacherous landscapes, fight off prehistoric creatures, and overcome treacherous obstacles, they discover hidden wonders and face life-threatening challenges.
