The movie "Kaththi" revolves around two prisoners, Jeevan (played by Vijay) and his friend, who escape from the prison. Jeevan, a poor man, was wrongly accused and imprisoned for a crime he didn't commit. The two friends plan to reform a corrupt politician, Ma. Thegavan (played by Aadhavan), who has been exploiting and oppressing the people of a village.
