Los Tigres del Norte was formed in 1969 in Monterrey, Mexico, by brothers Jorge and Raúl Hernández, along with their cousins, Mario and Enrique Quintero. The group's early sound was rooted in traditional norteño music, with a focus on accordion-driven melodies and heartfelt lyrics.
