The idea behind DVD Play was to bridge the gap between the Malayalam film industry and movie enthusiasts. Prior to its launch, accessing Malayalam movies was a challenge, especially for those living outside of Kerala. DVD Play aimed to change this by providing a platform where people could easily purchase or rent Malayalam movies from the comfort of their own homes.
