Mealtimes in an Indian family are a special occasion. The family comes together to share a nutritious and delicious meal, often consisting of a variety of curries, vegetables, and rice or roti (flatbread). The head of the family, usually the grandfather or the eldest son, leads the meal by sharing stories, news, and experiences from the day.
